Alternators / Starters

Repair & Sell
We repair and sell Starter Motors and Alternators for various models of cars, light commercial vehicles and agricultural machinery. With the exception of the tractors we have in our workshop for service, we do not remove and fit the units from your vehicle. If you would like us to repair your unit you need to get it off the vehicle and bring it to us. There’s no need to bring the car, just the starter or alternator.
Our products are available for cash and carry only, we do not collect units. However, customers can make their own arrangements to get units delivered to us.
Using our test benches we are able to test the output of your Alternator and the condition of your Starter Motor and diagnose the fault quickly. If a fault is found, we can recondition the units instead of replacing them, thus saving you time and money. In the event that a unit is unable to be repaired, we can offer an extremely competitive quote for a new unit.
You will need to leave the unit with us and we will usually contact you within 24 hours with a quote for the repairs. We will begin work only once you are happy with our quote. Providing we have all the parts in stock, we aim to complete the work within 24– 48 hours.
If you do not wish to go ahead with the repair after a quote has been provided, you can collect the unit free of charge. If, for any reason we are unable to repair your unit, we will try to source a replacement unit for you – we may even have one in stock.
We are open Monday to Friday and closed on Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.
Things to remember before refitting the starter or alternator:
Tip – before you refit the starter or alternator make sure the vehicle’s battery is fully charged and in good condition. Otherwise, you will overload the starter or alternator and invalidate the guarantee. If in doubt, bring the battery to us and we will test it for you.
Guarantee – unless otherwise stated on the receipt, the work carried out to repair a unit is guaranteed for a period of twelve months against failure due to manufacturing defects only.
